Head of the demographic and social studies Unit
Sylvie Le Minez has been heading Demographic and social studies Unit at INSEE, the French National Institute for Statistics and Economic Studies, since 2018. She is also a member of the Statistical Confidentiality Committee, that examines requests for access to confidential data. She graduated from the ENSAE Paris Tech School of Economics, Statistics and Finance (France) and she holds a post-graduate diploma in Sociology of the family. She held various positions at INSEE and at ministerial statistic departments (Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Social Affairs). From 20016 to 2018, she worked at the High Council for the financing of social protection. She has published extensively on employment, social policies and redistribution issues.
