Researcher at the Netherlands Institute for Social Research
Marcel Coenders is a senior researcher at the Netherlands Institute for Social Research (www.scp.nl). The SCP is an independent government agency which conducts research into the social aspects of all areas of government policy. Marcel Coenders obtained his PhD in social sciences in 2001 at the Radboud University in the Netherlands. His research interests include social cohesion, solidarity and intergroup relations. In particular, he focuses on the social relations between ethnic groups, national identity, and prejudice and discrimination. Recently he participated in an international Horizon2020 project on labour market inequalities, by conducting large scale field experiments on labour market discrimination (www.gemm2020.eu).
